There's a lot that's complicated about solar. But the one thing that is as simple as simple gets is that the cost of fuel for solar power is 0. As in $0.00, with maybe even a few more 0's. That is something that I don't think many people have really gotten their heads around. It's just not something that we're used to. More on this later.
For now, here's "common sense solar." There will be a cleaner version soon. These are the numbers that helped me to start looking at roofs in a whole new way, because they helped me to translate space into kilowatt hours.
